Black Swan Green

In a way I'm writing my first novel fourth."

Semi-randon quotes:
"If that last book was his Ulysses, then Black Swan Green is Mitchell's Portrait of the Artist as Young Man — and not just because it's semi-autobiographical."

"And after three books with notably complex narrative structure, far-flung settings, and multiple viewpoints, he has chosen one narrator, 13-year-old Jason Taylor, to tell the story of one year (1982) in one town, Worcestershire's Black Swan Green."

Der nächste Mitchell danach kommt übrigens 2009 und "will be set two centuries ago on Deshima, an artificial island off the coast of Japan that became a Dutch trading colony and was for 200 years the sole link between Japan and Europe."

Also, lesen!
