Plague Songs

I had my first day off in 6 weeks today! A few days ago I got a message from a friend of mine from Tokyo, Finn. He is from New Zealand, but lived in Tokyo for a while teaching English. I stayed with him for 2 weeks and had a great time there. Now Finn moved to London and is currently looking for a job.
When we were in Tokyo we went to see Patrick Wolf in concert. He only played a few songs, but it was nice anyway. Finn now told me of a concert at the Barbican where Patrick Wolf would play. It was called "Plague Songs" and was a live event with different artists in conjunction with a film, "Exodus". Each artist would write and perform a song about one of the 10 biblical plagues. Besides Patrick Wolf there were Rufus Wainwright, Imogen Heap, Damon Albern and others. A really great lineup!
I met up with Finn this afternoon and we went to pick up Steffi from her gallery job. We then strolled around East London for the afternoon and went to a few markets.
In the evening Finn and I went to the concert at the Barbican and really enjoyed it. I hope I can see the movie "Exodus" as well now.
Altogether I had a great day. It was great to see Finn again and I hope to see him often now that he lives in London. I should hopefully have some more time as well soon.

Oh wow, I just realised how many great concerts you'll be able to watch now you're in London. And working all this over-time provides you with enough money to do so ;) Good luck with that work stuff so you'll have more time soon!

Well, if I can get off work than I can probably go to quite a few! But I already missed a few (like Jose Gonzalez) because I had to work longer...
