the road to Melbourne

I did a roadtrip from Sydney to Melbourne with a Swiss guy, Cyril, I met online. He has a campervan that is great for camping and has enough space for 2-3 people. I met up with him on Friday morning and we hit the road. Our first stop was Wollongong where we stopped for lunch. Later that day we stopped again at Jervis Bay. We didn't find a hostel or a camping ground in Ulladulla, so we had to go until Batemans Bay where we camped overnight. On Saturday we stopped in Eden for lunch and spent the night in Lakes Entrance. This morning we decided to go to Walhalla, an old mining town in the Victorian Alps. We did a tour through one of the old god mines there (that is still in use today). We arrived in Melbourne at 6 in the afternoon and met up with an old colleague of Cyril who is also from Switzerland. We had a few beers in a bar in St.Kila near the beach and then went to his apartment in the city. Tonight we will probably go out again.
