Ueno

Today I decided to have a walk around the Ueno area, which has a more old-fashioned touch to it. There are lots of small shops next to and underneath the elevated train tracks and also a nice park. I just walked around there for a few hours until it was time to head back.
In the evening I met up with Anna & Freya (the 2 Scottish girls) and another Japanese couchsurfing host from Tokyo. We went for Kainten-Sushi, the one with the conveyor belt. This was actually my fist sushi here in Japan and it was great! (Quite cheap as well!) Afterwards we tried to find a bar and ended up in an Izakaya, a traditional Japanese pub (the type where you have to take your shoes off). Altogether a nice day! :)
