The Golden Compass

This afternoon I went to see "The Golden Compass" movie. I have been responsible for the language testing of all the games for the movie on all platforms and it has kept me very busy for the last 3 month. Sega has invited the whole team to a screening today and is even paying us for it! :) They even threw in free drinks and popcorn, and I got my free copy of the game as well.
The movie wasn't bad, it felt a bit crammed though and a lot of details aren't explained very well. It is also different from the book and the game, as certain sequences and the ending were changed. The ending of the movie was actually changed only very recently, so that the game still ends completely different from the movie! The effects were quite nice, especially all the animal "daemons". The movie was a bit violent though for the PG rating, not that I care very much about that...
After the movie we were driven back to the office and worked for the remaining hours until the end of the shift, although there wasn't much time left.
