Asakusa, Okonomiyaki & Ginza

Finn and I went to Asakusa today to the Senso-ji shrine because there was a Shinto festival going one. There were loads of people and loads of stands where you could buy a certain flower that is connected to the festival. We had the biggest Okonomiyaki there that I have ever seen. For the first time in Japan a meal actually filled me up. (I couldn't even finish the whole thing and had the rest for dinner.)
Afterwards I went through Ginza, a famous upscale shopping district. On the way back to the house I stopped in Shinjuku to check out the buses. I will take a bus back to Osaka tomorrow and stay there for a few days again. I wanted to go to Kobe but couldn't find a couchsurfing place to stay there, so I will stay in Osaka instead (which is close) and go to Kobe for a day trip.

Hey Stephan, looks like things are going very well in Japan :)
I still enjoy reading your blog, very exciting! What's "okonomiyaki", though? I looked at the picture but I can't make it out... is it the pizza-like things on the left of the stuff on the right that looks like giant tacos?
Have fun in Japan!

Take care,
Chris

Have a look at the link I put there to Wikipedia! Okonomiyaki is a kind of vegetable pancake. I highly recommend it! :)
