beer pong of champs
I got to Seoul in the afternoon and met up with Jade, my host here. We went to her boyfriend Warner's apartment and I left my stuff there before we headed out to the couchsurfing meeting in Itaewon, the foreign quarter. We went to this small bar called the East-N-West. By and by some people came and we talked all night. There were a few Koreans who were quite nice, but the majority was foreigners, mostly American. After we while we started to play beer pong. I played 2 rounds and won both! After 11 most people who had to get to work the next day left and it was only a handful of us left. We exchanged some crazy travel stories and let me tell you some of those guys have experienced truly crazy shit! One Canadian guy was questioned and imprisoned by Scottish immigration because they wrongfully thought that we wanted to immigrate illegally, and he was then send back to Canada after 3 days in prison. Another guy illegally crossed the border into Nepal and sneaked into Kathmandu as it was held by Maoist rebels. The same guy also played for the Dalai Llama twice, was imprisoned three times, was stabbed, robbed, and down and out in India.
After the East-N-West closed we went over to the country bar next door (called the "Grand Old Opry") for some moor soju jelly shots and crazy stories. Before going home at about 3am or so we had some nice Korean street food and then took a taxi back to Warner's place.
