Gyeongju
I got up really early today (8am) and took the bus to Gyeongju. There are hundreds of temples, shrines, statues burial mounds, and other places of interest around there. I chose to visit the 3 most important ones: the Bulguksa temple, the Seokguram grotto, and the Tumuli burial mounds park. I was lucky with the weather and it was sort of sunny and didn't rain (but it was still overcast). I had to take the subway to the bus station, the bus from there to Gyeongju, then another bus to Bulguksa, and later another bus to Seokguram. The sites were quite nice, but not that exciting. I think I'm just to jaded when it comes to temples and shrines after being to Nara and Kyoto... Nevertheless, I had a nice day out.
