first night at work
Last night I started my new job at Sega here in London. I am the new linguistic lead for the night shift here. My job is roughly the same that I did for Enzyme in Quebec, just the title is different. (Of course Sega is a developer and publisher, so some parts of the job are slightly different.)
I am the most senior linguistic guy during the night shift and have to handle a number of teams on different projects. My first night went okay, but I still have a lot to learn. The job is very similar to my last one, but all the procedures and paperwork are different. I also have to learn how to cope with night shift work. I am working from 10:30pm to 7:30am for 4 nights a week, as are all the other people on the shift. The problem is getting enough sleep during the day and changing the biorhythm. It will probably take at least a few more days to fully adapt.
