Mountain Goats


Today I went to the second Seattle show of the Mountain Goats, this time at the Triple Door. The venue was totally different from Neumo's last night. Everybody was sitting around tables and I was one of the few standing room people in the back. The atmosphere was also very different, there was much less singing and cheering. The stage at the Triple Door is also much larger, so the band looked a bit lonely up there with so much space. John also seemed to be in a somewhat quieter mood. The set was almost the same as yesterday, and he gave only on encore. I was hoping that he would play No Children tonight, but he didn't even play Best Ever Death Metal Band out of Denton... I was able to take some pictures and videos tonight, but in comparison yesterday's show was much better.
Before the concert I went to this couchsurfing get-together, where a few people met in a cafe. It was really nice and I met some interesting people there.
