Miyajima

I walked around Hiroshima for a bit today, saw the A-bomb dome, the peace memorial museum and more. It was raining the whole day, but the dreaded typhoon steered clear of Hiroshima and went a bit more eastern than expected. In the afternoon I went back to the hostel. Unfortunately, the hostel was fully booked for this night and nobody canceled during the day so I had to find another place to stay for tonight. All the hostels in the city seemed to be full and I also didn't hear back from any couchsurfing host. :/ My last resort was to find a bed in Miyajima, a bit outside the city. I was planning to come here anyway to see the famous floating shrine. And fortunately the hostel still has some free beds. So I took the tram here in the evening and will stay here for another 2 nights, I guess. It's really quiet around here and you can see the island of Miyajima and the floating shrine from the harbor.
